Senior Database Administrator (m/f/d)

We develop AI powered e commerce platforms for B2B clients and are looking for you to join our team.

Tasks

In this role, you will work on the planning, operation, optimization and support of our Microsoft SQL Servers for our E-Commerce solutions. Your responsibilities will include the following tasks:

• Operating our e-commerce solutions on Microsoft Azure
• Planning, installation, configuration, support, and administration of database management systems based on Microsoft SQL Server
• Ensuring smooth operations through monitoring, analysis, performance tuning, troubleshooting, maintenance, reporting as well as backup and recovery
• Further development and optimization of existing database environments
• Support for database projects, particularly in the areas of conception and implementation
• Planning and implementing database migration projects
• Analyzing issues and requirements in second-level support and developing sustainable solutions

Requirements

In addition to at least five years of professional experience and excellent English language skills (both spoken and written), you should also have the following knowledge and experience:

• Curiosity, a passion for agile work in an innovative company, and a willingness to continuously develop (especially in the Azure and Cloud environments)
• At least five years of experience and, consequently, excellent knowledge of the administration and operation of Microsoft SQL Server in the Cloud
• Good knowledge of PostgreSQL databases
• Strengths in designing and implementing solutions in the DBA environment
• Experience in backup and recovery
• Good knowledge of various operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.)
• Experience in SQL programming and tuning
• Experience with Java-based web applications is a plus

Experience with Oracle and a knowledge of German are nice to have. If you also enjoy learning about new topics and technologies, we look forward to meeting you.
