Responsibilities

We are looking for a motivated Backend Engineer – Integrations to support our team. You will have the unique opportunity to join us in a strong growth phase and participate in all backend-related activities, using the latest technologies on AWS. The role includes the following:

• Together with your colleagues, you are responsible for the Bring! backend services and infrastructure on AWS
• You work closely with our product managers and commercial customers to integrate their offerings into our systems
• You provide input for improvements and work with the backend team to make integrations more efficient and robust
• You participate in sprint planning, in developing new features and in coordinating testing, releases and monitoring
• You are an active part of the engineering team, contribute to learning activities and help improving our engineering process

Requirements

At Bring! Labs we have high ambitions and the vision to change the way our customers communicate with consumers. To meet our expectations, your skills and experience should be as follows:

• Experience with Spring Boot based backend services in Java and/or Kotlin
• Experience with RESTful APIs and with common SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience with developing and operating cloud-based backend services, preferably on AWS
• Familiarity with the common tool ecosystem for development, testing, debugging, and performance benchmarking (IntelliJ, Gradle, Docker, Git, Jenkins, Postman)
• You have worked with client-server, backend and integration architectures
• You are a solution-oriented engineer with good people- and communication-skills
• You are fluent in written and spoken English. Fluency in German is a major advantage and will help you succeed faster in this role
